On it's face planting seems so easy. Dig a hole, drop in plant, fill in dirt, Add Water. But as all of us find out this method becomes more of gamble than we first thought. Sometimes the plant does just great. Other times though the plant withers and dies, won't grow, just never looks right.
Let us help you with our expertise. We have learned more than a little about plants in our 25 plus years. What does well in a certain areas, (wet, dry, clay, Sunny, Shady, etc.) We also promise we will never just dig a hole and drop in a plant. Most success in planting comes in preparation. We believe in amending the soil through the entire bed to increase soil oragnic compostion and drainage. We prepare the entire bed because that is where plants grow, not just in the little hole where they are placed.
The fertilizer we use serves mulitiple purposes to not just green up the plant, but to target the overall health of the plant and to help it establish a firm foundation on which to grow. The fertilizer has a bio-stimulant to encourage root growth, a polymer to help aid water retention around the plant so it doesn't dry out, volcanic rock crystals to promote air and water penetration of the soil, an endo-ectomycorrhizae soil and root inoculant to reduce stress from planting and encourage the plant to establish faster, and finally a natural organic slow release fertilizer to noursish new, tender fibourous roots. That's basically a lot of wording to say we care about how your plants grow. Another area we care greatly about is weed control. There is nothing worse than planting a beautiful garden only to have it overrun several weeks later with unwanted weeds. that is why before we mulch, we will put down a pre-emergent weed control to stop stop weed growth before it starts. The last step we take is to personally water all of your new plants before we leave to get them off to a proper start.
Whether you want to plant a small garden, plant the entire house, or to refurbish an old overgrown landscape, we have the exprertise to make you home beautiful, warm and inviting.
